Fred Magazine is intended for the straight guy who is in touch with his "softer" side. It was first suggested to me by my friends Tim and Barb Hurley, who noted my feminine tendencies and suggested such columns as "Fruity Drinks for Men" and "Figure Skaters - Where Are They Now?" That was over a year ago, and we have come up with enough ideas that I decided to claim the blog title.
I work as a high school English teacher (a department heavily populated by women) and don't have a lot of time to update regularly, but I'll try to post whenever the spirit moves me. For now, for all those straight, non-homophobic men who happily change diapers, know the difference between a salchow and an axel, prefer a romantic comedy to a Saw sequel, don't mind having their 9-year old daughters read blog posts over their shoulders and call them "weird girly things that they think." This blog is for you.
